Last week i took the snap decision to take the next flight to Paris - in order to see The Maine live in concert.

Luckily my good friend Gerrard found time to guide me through the town. The time was pretty limited as I arrived on Friday and left on Saturday. Furthermore at this trip I really didn't care to much about photography.. :)

Last week I was on a wonderful city trip to Rome.

It was a 3 day trip and compared to other city trips I really did not shoot to many picutures, as taking pictures in Rome somehow wasn't too easy for me.

Even if it was my second time in Rome I was overwhelmed by all the big monuments and historical buildings - therefore it was really hard to focus on the small and special things which I usually portrait.

For sure the pictures of Romes big attractions are fine - just as fine as they appear on the 1 million greeting cards..

Anyway, at least I tried to take some rather unusual pictures,

last weekend I tavelled from Germany to the US for business.

We were lucky and had nice weather and a wonderful view out of the airplane :)

I have just used the time in transit at the airport to select and edit some pictures which I took two weeks ago in Singapore at the Thian Hock Keng Temple.

The colors there are very bright and clean – just like Singapore itself :)

last weekend I've been in Munich to visit the German Soccer League derby 'FC Bayern München' VS 'Hannover 96' - the FCB won 7 to 0.

The atmosphere was great and I think I was able to take some nice pictures of the stadion 'Allianz Arena' itself, of the match and the fans.

My favourite attraction there were the colourful flowerpower-bicycles.

They got a lot of them and every single one is handmade and looks different.

Because I really really really (!) suffer from acute wanderlust I just browsed through my archive an found some pictures I took with a simple compact camera some time ago.

Even if they're not in SLR quality they are not bad at all.

Hi all, do you know panoramio?

Panoramio is a geolocation-oriented photo sharing website (wiki quote).

All pictures which have been uploaded to panoramio will be reviewed by google and then after several checks added to google earth or google maps.

So if you take a look at the google maps of T.eisnach or P.enang (just avoiding to find my blog because of this locations) you'll find some of my stuff - for example this one.

Last Sunday my Granny celebrated her 70th Birthday.

The complete Family in town - rare.

As Christmas is not far away we took the chance to take pictures of every grandchild etc. in order to use the pics for a photo-calendar.

Hi all,

today I got my new objective.

AF-S VR 50mm / 1.4G.

Such a cool bokeh.

Love it!

Here are some first test shots to compare my "old" objective with the new one:

Furthermore I've tried to take some pictures when walking trough the forest.

Well.. I took about 50 pictures and 80% are simply trash.

I took every picture w/ the 50mm objective in manual mode w/o autofocus.

I really have to get better in this..

So in the gallery you will only find one new mushroom.

However.. practice makes perfect ;)
